Welp, i"ve ran right into a small snag. I"m gettin mine 4.0 and tranny ready to swap right into my 93, i"m instead of the clutch, pressure plate, and also the slave cylinder, problem is, ns can"t disconnect the heat on the servant cylinder. States use the tool or screwdrivers and also press the white plastic clip in and pull the line. Well, thereis NO white plastic piece in in between the line and the servant cylinder. Quick of just cutting the heat off, anyone have actually some think on just how to eliminate it?

on mine 88" i had actually the same problem...i finished up simply removing the little pin indigenous the master cylinder side..if you room replacing the servant you can just reduced the line i suppose and get a new one v a new clip for your brand-new slave... There are articles upon articles where people just "pop" the heat free..i make the efforts the tool and also everything nothing worked. Great luck.

Already tried with a fuel line tool, simply isn"t sufficient room. Guess: v I can unbolt the slave and also pull the line v the bell real estate and try the fuel line device again. If that doesn"t work then i guess I"ll just have to cut the line and also hope I deserve to save the one that is currently in my ranger.

we adjusted the servant cylinder on my dads f150 (same slave). Us couldn"t obtain the disconnect eliminated so we reduced the line on the slave side the the connection, and also removed it the way. You need to use a hacksaw blade and also a the majority of patience! its a little bit awkward, however saves girlfriend from purchase a brand-new slave line. Once you have actually the transmission eliminated you have actually a bit more room to get the connector off the line.good luck.

Try to do a instead of from a stainless hose clamp. The clamp I offered was 3/8" wide. Ns think you would be able to squeeze that in as soon as you get it cut to the best length and bent to the right diameter. The suggest of the sleeve is to slide in there and also release around 20 small springy sheet metal fingers from a ridge in ~ the former of the fitting. Once the sleeve is jammed in there, push the pedal and also let the fluid pressure popular music the fitting out. There is a valve on the so it will certainly not squirt once it is released, yet you may obtain a few drops. The test results are no yet in about the lengthy term to trust of the stainless steel. There appears to be a tiny bit of corrosion top top the anodized aluminum now.
