Concern of the day: Where does the Red Brick Roadway in Wizard of Oz go? Here is the answer from Askville:In the original series of Oz publications written by L. Frank Baum the red brick road goes to the Quadling Counattempt in Oz. Red is the Quadlings' state color. In his publications, the Land of Oz was separated into 4 quadrants and each was designated a particular color: Winkie Counattempt = Yellow, Gillikin Country = Purple, Munchkin Counattempt = Blue, and also Quadling Counattempt = Red. Glinda the Good was the ruler of the Quadlings in L. Frank Baum's Oz series. As her bubble floats amethod from Munchkinland also in the 1939 film, it shows up to be following the red brick road. As such, the red brick road the majority of likely leads back to her homeland, Quadling Country.

5.Baum was not specifically continuous on points prefer this.

They could adjust from one book to the next. Then aobtain, there was no red brick road in the books. There were, yet, at least 2 yellow brick roads.

7.I flourished up LOVING the series of Oz publications as did MiddleFingerMom in HER childhood.

...I had actually the great pleacertain of reading some of them to her in her last stages of Alzheimer's (as soon as she had pretty a lot went back to her childhood). Both of us through GIANT smiles on our encounters as we dove earlier into that people wholeheartedly....When I was growing up, we had hardbound copies from about 1918 and also some from approximately 1937. The last publications had fantastic color plate illustrations, however the previously ones had actually MUCH better pen-and-ink illustrations (I bet the Nome King from those STILL has actually the power to offer me nightmares - below is a book cover from 1927 -- not also CLOSE to the terrifying effects of that fat li'l hairsphere with stubby arms and legs marching on Oz)....The Nome King, BTW, gained "roughly the Deadly and/or Impassable Deserts by tunneling UNDER them....I highly recommend any type of of the numerous dozen publications from the series to children of any type of age....
